Complex flavors of the Aegean

You don't have to be an uber hipster "foodie" to understand the complex flavor layers that this fig spread offers to the taste buds of those who seek for ultimate quality. It's a Greek organic product made from Kimi figs. What else do you need to know? Buy on site!

*Figs are very sweet by nature so if you are wondering about the use of black sugar in this product. I believe the reason the product has the organic black sugar is because it works as a natural preservative (in Greece, they call this: για να δέσει το γλυκό).

Thank you for the lovely review Tony!
Hugs and kisses!

A totally natural spread made of 88% excellent organic Kymi figs and organic rapadura sugar.

The flavor is sweet and fruity, with a thick spreadable texture, and hidden lemon notes, that come from tiny pieces of organic lemon zest.

Yummy in sandwiches, and a perfect match with goat cheese on a cracker!

It is excellent as part of a cheese platter or a charcuterie board.

*(product of organic farming)

Askada Farm Organic Fig Spread is a winner of the British Great Taste Awards.

Wanna read an amazing fig story?

Let’s start with the word “Askada”. Askada comes from the ancient Greek word for figs, “ischada”.  Nowadays, in the local dialect of Kymi, Askada is called the final product that comes from two sundried figs opened and pressed together.

Askada Farm was established by Evaggelia and Stathis with love and respect to the special variety of figs that grow in this particular place in Greece, Kymi, Evia island.

Over the past few years, Evaggelia and Stathis have been operating a fig farm beside Melas river, close to the village Andronianoi, which is dedicated to organic cultivation and committed to offering you the unique taste of these precious figs.

Just in this very place in Greece can be found the trees that give birth to such fruits with delicate skin and remarkable taste, along with the unique process Evvagelia and Stathis follow to dehydrate them.

Every year in August, a group of people becomes a company that unites its forces to produce the ASKADA fig.

The fig of Kymi for you to enjoy!
